Some young people have gathered this afternoon in “Skënderbej” square where they will protest against the increase of prices for basket products and fuels.
Activists announced that they will start the protest at 18:00, while it is expected that in the following minutes, more citizens will gather in the square.
Activist and pedagogue Arlind Qorri, during the interview given the day before for “Talk”, invited the citizens to participate in the protest, because due to the wrong policies of the government, they pay more for the products and services they receive, a situation that is aggravating every day more and more their pockets. We must protest the reasons why Albania is in this crisis, said the activist of the Political Organization.
“Today, many Albanians do not manage to buy milk, oil and other basic foods, because they do not have enough money, because their salaries are very low, pensions are very low, economic aid is ridiculous. Meanwhile, prices are only rising. “Between April and May, in just one month, food prices have risen by 20-30%, according to real statistics, while real growth could be even greater.”
