Socialist MP Erion Braçe harshly addressed former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, saying that he imposed VAT or carbon tax.
He proposed that companies that sell products should be controlled, as they are abusing citizens.
“You have to sew it for the things you made yourself! We are not able to pay the cost for freedom, except the consequences of Vladimir Putin. Our crisis has another floor above, a crisis that comes from international markets, but also the abuse that comes here within. Three things you have to tell the truth, the word falls, l heard before that we have reduced VAT on fertilizer products, we set VAT on fertilizer products. To put transparency in the markets, energy prices, people have the right to know how much oil enters the territory of Albania, how much is spent by companies. 87 lek comes per kilogram of urea, below nitrate and I do not believe that the profit rate is 2%. It is deception, extortion! What happened to the bitumen from 6 miles went 10 thousand. To democratize the economy is vital, those associations that are like cartels in the country market. Prices are set neither by populism nor by street nor politics. VAT, carbon tax was imposed by Sali Berisha “said Brace.
Rising prices for products and hydrocarbons is one of the most delicate issues in our country and Europe, which directly affects the citizen. This happened as a result of the invasion, from the war that started in Ukraine.
The government set up the Transparency Board to strike a balance and be as clear and transparent as possible to the public about changing the figures.
