Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed with Boris Johnson the strengthening of defense support for Ukraine and the unlocking of ports as the war continues.
In a Twitter message, Zelenskyy said: “As part of the regular dialogue, I had another telephone conversation with Boris Johnson. We talked about strengthening defense support for Ukraine, intensifying work on security guarantees, fuel supply to Ukraine. “We must work together to prevent a food crisis and unlock ports.”
Yesterday, Italian Prime Ministers Mario Draghi and Zelenskyy discussed unblocking wheat exports from Ukraine to address the food crisis that is threatening the world’s poorest countries.
Russian blockade of Ukrainian ports has hampered grain shipments, of which both countries are major exporters.
As part of the regular dialogue, I had another phone conversation with @BorisJohnson. We talked about strengthening defense support for 🇺🇦, intensifying work on security guarantees, supplying fuel to Ukraine. We must work together to prevent a food crisis and unblock 🇺🇦 ports.
