The war in Ukraine has entered its second month, but life in the capital Kiev is resuming little by little.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a daily communication on social media stated that he has fired two senior military officials, accused of treason.
They are two intelligence officers in the Kherson region, one of the areas where the fighting has been fiercest, and where the Russian military has occupied most of the territory.
“I do not have time to deal with all traitors, but gradually everyone will be punished,” said Zelensky.
The Ukrainian president said Russian forces were already withdrawing from the Kiev and Chernivtsi areas, but the situation in the east, and especially in the Donbass, remained dire, as all indications were that Kremlin troops were reorganizing in anticipation of a major attack.
