US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will visit Kiev today, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Tomorrow, American officials will come to visit us. “I will meet with Secretary of Defense (Lloyd Austin) and Antony Blinken,” Zelenskyy told reporters on Saturday.
This will be the first official visit by US government officials since Russia’s war on Ukraine began on February 24.
The Ukrainian president also demanded that the United States agree to be one of the guarantors of Ukraine’s security to protect it from future threats.
