Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Ukraine needs $ 7 billion a month in financial aid to offset economic losses from the war.
In a virtual speech from a World Bank forum, Zelenksy also said it would take “hundreds of billions of dollars” to rebuild his country later.
According to CNN, he said any country should be prepared to sever ties with Russia, while Moscow should be immediately expelled from all international financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Zelensky closed the speech with the hope that the next meeting would take place in one of the Ukrainian cities that had been rebuilt with the support of the IMF and the World Bank.
