It should be a historic semifinal in Roland Garros between Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev. The two tennis players had shown excellent form during the French tournament and something like this was reflected in the confrontation between them, but as the end of the second set was being played, the German suffered a terrible ankle injury.
The 25-year-old is forced to leave the field in a wheelchair, while he returns after a few minutes thanks to the help of crutches to announce that he can not continue the game by “giving” Rafa the ticket for the final.
Recently, Zverev has also revealed the degree of ankle injury while the problems are bigger than expected as it is about some broken ligaments in the right leg.
“Hello everyone, I’m on my way home. After a few checks, I seem to have broken some ligaments in my right leg. When I return to Germany I will do some tests again and then we will decide what is the fastest way to recover. “Thank you for the support messages, they are very important in these moments and I will always be updating you on the damage”, said Zverev./ SuperSport
