The record prices that fuels have suffered in the country, are costing more in the pockets of citizens who pay higher tickets for transportation, while in most cases they are not even offered the minimum condition of air conditioning.
Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who appeared before the media to communicate the government’s decisions, was asked by journalists what mode of transport he uses, while the government has advised citizens to restrict car movement.
Ahmetaj’s answer was that the government has offered social packages that have been put into operation today. According to him,. Inflation in Albania is the lowest in the region.
“If you are interested in what the citizens are doing, I want to share with you that the government has thought about packages that are in operation today.
Albania has inflation of 6.2%, less than the region, this has to do with the social packages we have offered. Bosnia has 13% inflation. This is a global crisis, the discussion is how to secure the supply routes of food, gas, etc. “We are an open market and we have the consequences of all that crisis, it is a crisis whose end is unknown, but the government is prepared to take action.”
