The UK is concerned because some British troops may try to join the battle in Ukraine.
The UK Ministry of Defense said it was difficult to keep track of military staff and did not believe there were any examples of British military personnel missing to fight in Ukraine.
Earlier, the UK’s chief of defense, General James Swift, stated that UK military personnel were “not authorized” to travel to Ukraine.
He sought to warn that if British military personnel were to go to war in Ukraine, they would not only risk their lives but could give Russia the “misperception” that Britain had sent troops to engage in hostilities.
The Chief of Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, has now underlined that message, telling the BBC that it would be “illegal and useless”.
