This Friday, a court hearing will be held by the Court of Elbasan for imposing a security measure on Nuredin Dumani, arrested three days ago.
The hearing is expected to take place at 15:00 today, in the premises of the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. Matilda Fetau has been appointed judge of the case, while the prosecutor, Kreshnik Ajazi.
How was Nuredin Dumani arrested?
The most wanted Nuredin Dumani was arrested in Fier during the operation conducted by RENEA. It all happened after the involvement in an assassination attempt that took place on the afternoon of March 30 against Talo Çela, one of the most wanted names by the Albanian justice. Dumani was injured in the shoulder during the collision in Elbasan. He received first aid at the Fier hospital and is currently being transported to Tirana under strict security measures.
The police received information that after the assassination in Elbasan, Dumani left for the city of Fier and was hiding in a block of flats in the “Apollonia” neighborhood. Dumani was armed at the time of his arrest by the “RENEA” special forces. Along with him, 5 other people involved were handcuffed, 2 doctors, a nurse, his girlfriend and an accompanying person.
But who is Nuredin Dumani?
He is a well-known name in the underworld. Dumani is the suspected perpetrator of the murder of the Haxhia brothers in Durrës, after the testimony of the penitent of justice, Klevis Alla, who said that the brothers were killed after being accused of not returning a significant amount of money they had left in their service. .
Dumani is learned to have social ties with Klevis Kapllani, executed with 14 bullets on 15 September. He is also accused as the organizer of the murder of Dorjan Shkoza and Anxhelo Avdyl, on March 2, 2020. For the murder of four young people in Durrës, Dumani collaborated together with Talo Çela, while today he is accused of killing his brother, Bujar Çela.
Dumani has also been linked to a prostitution ring that came to light after the denunciation of a girl from Durrës trafficked to France. According to her testimony, Dumani was the tutor who deceived the girls by proposing to them for marriage and in case of refusal threatened to kill their family members.
In October last year, the Special Court passed the case against Talo Çela’s group, accused of two criminal events with 4 victims. The case of Besian Xhixhan, Enver Divan, Altin Ndoci and the collaborator of justice, Klevis Allën, went to trial. As for the defendants Talo Çela and Nuredin Dumani, the court suspended the case for a year, because they had not been arrested yet. The defendants are accused of killing brothers Viktor and Besmir Haxhia and Dorian Shkoza and Angelo Avdia.
