The companies suggested that the administration stop building 5G towers closer than two miles from airports until regulators determine how to achieve security without catastrophic unrest.
AT&T’s Verizon is leading the way in expanding the 5G C-Band line in the US after receiving a $ 80 billion technology installation contract last year. Some companies have agreed to create radiation protection zones around airports, but airlines are not happy as they say the measure is insufficient.
