Are you waiting for the opposition? Balla: We are consulting to issue the best name for the Municipality of Lushnje

In his speech, Balla responded to the interest of journalists regarding the local by-elections of March 6, and the candidate who will be trusted by the SP in this process.

He said that the Socialist Party is not waiting for the name of the opposition to publish their candidacy for the municipality of Lushnja, while adding that consultations are underway to find the best candidate.

Full statement of Taulant Ballës:

We have quickly detailed a joint project between the municipality and the Albanian Development Fund to fix a problem encountered over the years in one of the main boulevards of the city of Lushnja. I am very pleased that the works are progressing with quality. Today will start the laying of the first layer of asphalt and within the project is all the horizontal and vertical lineage and signage in order for this boulevard to meet all the necessary criteria of a European city as we want to have it in Lushnja.

We have talked with the mayor about other projects such as the brook or infrastructure of this city. Lushnja is the seventh largest city in Albania and as such the attention of the Albanian government will continue to be even greater than it has been in previous years, with important projects. Let us not forget that we are also investing in important sewerage and water supply projects as well as other roads in cooperation with the Development Fund, which are almost on the verge of completion.

Mr. Balla, all the attention of the citizens of Lushnja yesterday was for the name of the candidate for mayor and you gave it yesterday. Maybe you are waiting for the name of the opposition to come out?

No, we are not in competition with the opposition. We will govern in Lushnja not only in this remaining part of the mandate, but we will continue to govern in the local government of Lushnja beyond the mandate that starts in 2023. Also what we have done I think is more than normal because when you have a large number of candidate values, of course you have to consult with everyone to understand who is the person we will trust to lead these projects. What is important is that the entire Socialist Party of Lushnja is united in the function of a victory that will be among the greatest that the Socialist Party has encountered.
