Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta thinks that the loss of the penalty by Bukayo Saka in the final of “Euro 2020” was “great for his career”. The Spanish coach made this statement after the 2-3 victory at Watford, a challenge in which the English talent had a key role.
Saka gave the decisive pass in the case of the first goal scored by Odegaard on “Vicarage Road”, then restored the lead of the “Gunners” (Watford had equalized) after a perfect combination with Lacazatte.
Saka was a striker with racist words after “Euro 2020”, along with Sanchon and Rashford, who also made mistakes against Donnarumma in the final, but according to Artetas, this difficult moment has strengthened his character.
“I think Bukayo Saka had an experience in the summer that many other players would not want to go through. “I think it was a great experience for his career, because the football world showed how much he likes and respects him,” said Arteta.
“I think it was a big push for him to understand in difficult moments that people will support him and the club did exactly the same thing as his teammates. What he is already doing is phenomenal. Football is his priority in life and you can see this every day in training. He must continue to behave and live as he is doing. “
