One person was killed and at least 13 others were injured in an attack near the city of Houston in the US state of Texas on December 12.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the attack happened around 6pm (local time) when about 50 people gathered near a market to celebrate a local holiday.
“People were dropping balloons in the air a car approached the crowdSaid Gonzales. “As they approached, they started shooting at the crowd“, He added.
One of the injured had to be airlifted to hospital, Gonzales added, while a child was among the injured.
According to the county sheriff, it is still too early to know if the attack is linked to criminal gangs or what motive the attackers had.
