The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha on Saturday stated that the force he leads will be one of the cleanest entities in Albania, not allowing people in its ranks and leadership teams who shame the Albanian society.
“It is a pleasure to see you all together today, in a day where we have much to say, which in this day of reflection, union and the decision to choose together the path of the future. We are not gathered to slap each other on the shoulders, but to tell some truths that we have not uttered for a long time, or have just stuttered. I know some can hardly wait to hear them, I also know that some others may be upset by them. But today we are gathered in the name of truth“, He said.
The leader of the Democrats said how the Democratic Party will be today, Albania will be tomorrow.
“In order for us to become convincing for the Albanians, for us to restore the trust of the Albanians in the Democratic Party, we must dare to tell them that “how will the DP be today, will Albania be tomorrow”. This is a big brave act, because we will have to try today what Albania wants. And we will try it for you. We will be the cleanest party in Albania in its composition, not allowing in our ranks and in the leading teams of PD, people who shame the Albanian society. And we have to agree today on this standard which will include these categories“, He said.
For the leader of the Democrats in the leading structures of the DP, there will be no people who have to do with the painful history of the Albanians that was the communist dictatorship. He said that the history of the communist genocide in Albania will never find not only no lawyer, but no character related to that regime and that party.
“We will not allow incriminated people in the leading structures of the Democratic Party, in any criminal activity during these thirty years, which have become the object of criminal convictions, for crimes against human beings, economic crimes, criminal offenses or involvement in criminal organizations. And these will not only be done for the elected people of the Albanian people but also for the elected members within the DP. How will the DP be today, Albania will be tomorrow“, He said.
He said that in the structures of the Democratic Party will not be allowed people who violate the western orientation of Albania, with populist deviations and blind nationalisms aimed at destabilizing the region and creating uncertainty for the future of Albania.
“The DP must be the guarantee of Albanians who will live in a country with eyes, mind and body in the West. How will the DP be today, Albania will be tomorrow“, Said Basha.
