“This year, we had planned to go to the Black Sea and then spend a few days outside the borders, in Turkey or Egypt, to do something interesting so that our son could see the pyramids of Egypt, touch a culture up close other. Those were the plans, but they didn’t turn out the way we thought. Now we will stay here in Kiev and its surroundings. In lakes, parks. We don’t go to the forest much because there is no security. But we want to calm down as much as we can”said Ivan Sukhanov, an engineer from Kiev.
“Usually, in the summer we went to Crimea, because we are from Crimea. But now even that path has become quite difficult since the annexation of Russia; they took it from us and we can’t go on vacation anymore”, said Vera Sapyga, a refugee from Crimea.
