Bulgaria votes to lift veto on northern Macedonia, Macron welcomes vote: Too early to talk of ‘victory’

Macron: I would like to congratulate the Bulgarian Parliament for today’s vote, which paves the way for the possibility of lifting the veto and the start of negotiations for Northern Macedonia and for the consequence for Albania as well. In the coming hours we will work on the technical issues necessary to formalize an agreement in the coming days with Bulgaria and Macedonia. I would say that all the ‘cars’ are ready here and I wanted to thank the Prime Minister of Bulgaria but also his coalition all the forces for this vote, I also thank the Northern Macedonia for the progress, there is still work to be done, we can not call it victory, but it is a step forward.
