The first few hundred vehicles of the protest began to enter the capital today and tomorrow are expected to be placed in the central square of Parliament Hill. It is not known how long the truckers will stay there to block the city.

The area outside the country’s parliament building has meanwhile begun to fill with movement supporters with the Canadian flag and others with cars blowing trumpets.

In interviews with the Washington Post, activist Jay Koster said he had come from Fergus, Ontario, to protest after being “disappointed” with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the “liberal” government over forced vaccination. .

“Even people who choose not to be vaccinated are Canadians. “We are Canadians and we like freedom,” he said.

The Canadian government ended the exemption of truckers from vaccination by asking them to be vaccinated if they want to avoid two-week quarantine and testing when entering the country.
