An alarm siren has been raised by Caritas for orphans in Ukraine. Their number has gone to 100 thousand. Some have been abandoned by their parents and some others have been killed.
It is learned that dozens of Polish associations were activated for days, to organize their transport by train and bus, in an attempt to get them out of the country.
Thousands of children have already arrived in Poland and the government, in cooperation with Caritas, has set up a center in the south of the country where children are registered and then housed in different areas of Poland.
“They are tired, scared and have experienced a double trauma, that of abandonment and that of war“, Say the caregivers who take care of these children.
