The director of the 9-year school in the village of Karkanjoz in Berat has been found dead by Covid-19.
58-year-old Gëzim Shkoza, after showing signs of infection with the virus, was initially hospitalized in the Covid-19 Ward at the Berat Regional Hospital.
After his health deteriorated a week ago, he was sent for more specialized treatment to the Covid Hospital “Shefqet Ndroqi” in Tirana.
It is learned that Shkoza was in intubation for the last three days and despite the efforts of doctors, Shkoza could not overcome the disease and died this morning.
Gëzim Shkoza, the father of three children lived in Karkanjoz where he has been a teacher for more than 30 years, while for the last 5 years he was appointed director of the 9-year school in the village.
