The initiative for a car-free day on the first Sunday of each month has been embraced by the Durrës authorities.
This Sunday there will be limited movement of vehicles in the city of Durrës. The municipality in cooperation with the state police has determined the road axes where there will be no traffic with vehicles from 09.00 to 15.00.
In order to raise public awareness about environmental protection, this Sunday, April 3, will mark the beginning of the implementation of the initiative “Car Free Day”.
Road axes where the circulation of private vehicles will be prohibited will be those that lead to the center of Durres and the coastal promenade “Taulantia” to the symbol of the city, the Venetian Tower. Specifically, there will be no traffic on these axes: Boulevard “Dyrrah” – Street “Grigor Durrsaku”, Street “Alexander Goga” from the Mausoleum of Martyrs – Boulevard “Epidamn” to the Venetian Tower.
