At a joint press conference in Ankara with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the international community must act together to overcome the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports Anadolu Agency (AA) .
“To overcome the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is clear that the international community needs to act together,” said President Erdoğan, referring to recent moves towards separatism in the multi-ethnic state.
On the other hand, President Vuçi tha said that Belgrade “highly respects the territorial integrity of neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
At the joint press conference, President Erdoğan also stressed that Turkey and Serbia recently increased their trade volume to $ 2 billion and that the other two countries’ next goal is to reach $ 5 billion.
Vucic added that Serbia’s trade volume with Turkey has reached “the best moment in history”.
Turkish-Israeli talks
Regarding relations with Israel, the Turkish president said that they are engaging in talks with his Israeli counterpart, and stressed that President Isaac Herzog could visit Turkey.
He also said that Turkey has sought a positive approach to possible co-operation with Israel in the Mediterranean.
