Ferdinand Rrushi will be handed over to Italy. This decision was given by the Court accepting his extradition and accepting Italy’s request.
Following this decision announced on Tuesday, the approval of the extradition will be forwarded to the Minister of Justice, who is the final authority expected to remove from Albanian justice one of the protagonists of a serious crime that occurred in November 2021.
The accused was initially discovered by relatives of the victim who identified him as the last man with whom the victim left in a vehicle. After this moment the family knew nothing about his fate. But, when 43-year-old Rrushi was called to the police, it was discovered that in the meantime an arrest warrant had been issued against him and he was in high demand based on the measure of a preliminary judge in Genoa.
In the documents submitted by the Italian side, it turns out that this citizen is a member of a criminal organization that traffics and trades cocaine in the Italian state.
Immediately during the investigation in Tirana and the surveillance of the security cameras, the body of the victim, Rruzhdi Hoxha, who had stayed with the suspect, was found a few days later in the area of Qafe Molla. From the controls in the Dajti area, the police found some parcels with hashish that allegedly belonged to the accused.
Currently, this citizen is under investigation in Albania for three criminal offenses, the most serious being the abduction and murder of Rruzhdi Hoxha and on the other hand the cultivation of drugs and money laundering.
In Italian wiretaps and surveillance, Ferdinand Rrushi, otherwise known as Fredi, appears in various episodes of cocaine shipments.
