The Transparency Board has set prices for flour, oil, sugar and rice, the four basic food products that will be monitored by it in the future.
According to the decision which entered into force the day before, but made public today consumers will buy sugar in markets and supermarkets for 123 ALL / kg.
While oil will be sold for 321 ALL / liter, flour no more than 90.5 ALL / kg and for rice the set price is 104 ALL / kg.
Among other things, the Transparency Board decided to approve the profit margins that will be implemented, both for wholesalers and retailers that trade these products in the market.
Vega traders who do not implement the decision of the board and sell these basic products above the price set by it will be fined with 2 million ALL, while for most businesses the fine amounts to 10 million ALL. If the subjects are caught in repeated violation, the normative act provides for confiscation of the goods and closure of the activity.
The Board of Transparency for Basket Products and the one for Fuels set up for the purpose of setting ceiling prices and monitoring these products as a result of the market situation created according to the government will function until the end of the Russia-Ukraine war.
In addition, Finance has announced the establishment of a third board to monitor agricultural inputs, to guarantee supply for a minimum period of 3 months in the domestic market.
