Analyst Neritan Sejamini analyzed the government’s resistance package this Monday on the show ‘Open’, where he addressed the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, that most of the measures were promised during the election campaign and when the government took the third term.
According to him, these measures should have been taken in time and not now that we are in crisis.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimaj replied that he was there to explain that little and the concrete measures and not to sell anything.
Sejamini: When you say that we halved the tax to 50 thousand lekë, this is a play on words because at the moment you offer the non-taxed part at 40 thousand lekë, for those who have 50 thousand lekë it is halved, so it is logical. It should have started on January 1 and has nothing to do with the package because you promised it in the election campaign. So half of the measures that you say are a reaction to the crisis, are your obligations that you promised with the third term. I have a question: When you did the tax analysis did you analyze why none of the oil extraction companies pay profit tax? That you are saying that you do not reduce the tax to the citizens
Ibrahimaj: I am here today in the first place to sell nothing but to show concrete measures. I am here to represent government decisions and explain the whole package.
