Shadows of doubt on the causes of death of the 38-year-old, who was found dead last night on the road axis Fier-Lushnja.
Betim Kastrati, a father of two minor children, a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, was employed as a specialist at the Durrës Port Authority’s services directorate and often acted as the driver of APD general director Pirro Vengu.
According to the police, Kastrati was found on the Fier-Lushnjë road axis, near the Kolonjë roundabout, inside a “Volvo” type vehicle with license plates AA 550 AI and from the first investigative actions it was stated that he had parked the car properly in a street pocket and killed himself with a firearm.
His acquaintances suggest that Kastrati lived in Kamza, Tirana and traveled to Durrës every day to report for work. He was a very athletic guy, a fan of martial arts and a regular fan of the gym. According to his acquaintances, in no case did he show signs of depression that could lead him to suicide, while further investigations will be uncovered and who owned the weapon used and seized at the scene.
Friends and work colleagues have traveled from Durrës to Kamza to say goodbye to Kastrati.
