The structures of DVP Kukës, in cooperation with the Tropoja Police Commissariat, based on the information collected on the operational road for a citizen who tried to traffic firearms towards Kosovo, in cooperation with the Tropoja Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office and with the support of the Special Operational Force in The State Police successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Shoshan”.
As a result of this operation, the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
– SD, 34 years old, resident in Shoshan, Tropoja.
This citizen was caught red-handed by the Police services, while with his “Volkswagen” vehicle, he was transporting two automatic firearms, 1 “Glock” pistol and a quantity of ammunition, on the road axis Shoshan-Bajram Curri, in the place called “Expensive Bridge”.
In cooperation with the Prosecution, work continues to identify and apprehend other persons implicated in this criminal activity.
The seized weapons will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute in Tirana for further examination, if these weapons have been used in criminal events that have occurred before.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Tropoja Court of First Instance, for the criminal offenses “Trafficking in weapons and ammunition” and “Illegal production and possession of weapons and ammunition.”
