The Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the chairman of the Socialist Party, today publicly invited the head of the infectious disease, Najada Çomon, to be on the lists of the left-wing candidates for deputies in the parliamentary elections.
According to the analyst, Artur Zheji, with this development, the headquarters of the anticovid war in Albania has been lost. “Politics in this case won but lost Albania and the Albanian reality.”
Zheji says that it will be more difficult for Najada Çomon because after she took the oath of Hippocrates for her profession in medicine, the party oath is already added. “We have seen the failures of doctors. The doctor has the oath of Hippocrates, it is no joke to be a doctor. If a second oath is required, that of the party, they must again choose the Hippocratic Bible. It depends on Çomo’s personal integrity whether he will be loyal to Hippocrates or the party”.
Analyst Frrok Çupi explains the selection of the infectious disease chief from his point of view. “Both the doctor and Rama are facing two pandemics, the health pandemic and the parliament pandemic. Parliament is very weak and everyone is reprimanding it. We can not determine whether Najada Çomo did well”.
However, he adds that the reality in the country, strongly influenced by politics, imposes such decisions.
“Politics is still the Lord of all. If you are not close to politics, even being Aristotle has no value. I appreciate the fact that politics extends its hands to personalities like Najada. Perhaps after accusations as to why we do not have an elite parliament, Najada I believe will be the foundation of positivity in parliament. Political use is worthless, but in Albania, politics is the first and last point of the day”.
