A ‘sex worker’ in the US has been jailed for 30 years after a series of drug incidents that left four people dead.
Angelina Barini, from New York, accepted the distribution of drugs mixed with fentanyl and GBL “rape drugs” in July and August 2019.
Prosecutors said the 43-year-old Barini, had given the drugs to her clients as part of a scheme to demilitarize them and then rob them, the court was told.
It has received two cases of distribution of narcotics that caused the death of a person, as well as the distribution of fentanyl drugs, methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as one case of co-distribution of the chemical gamma-butyrolactone.
One of the victims was given the drug mixed with fentanyl at a motel in Astoria on July 4 as the man was found dead the same day.
Two other men had died from drug overdoses at Woodside and College Point.
Prosecutors said Barini had fatally drugged the head of the Italian restaurant Cipriani Dolpi Andrea Zamperoni with GBL medication on August 18, 2019.
Before being drugged, she and her ex-boyfriend had seduced her in a dark room, where she was later found unconscious until she died on the floor, the network writes. New York Daily News.
Earlier Barini had searched the internet for news of his disappearance.
The body of the chef was wrapped in sheets thrown in the trash, according to police.
Barini was questioned about the case on August 21, a few days after the cook was killed, when he was arrested.
Defendant’s sister Sally told the court in her defense: “They were not saints, they went with him. “They wanted to have fun, take drugs and have sex with him. No one put a pistol to his head to do it.”
She admitted that Barini was addicted to drugs and that he had had a difficult childhood.
But Judge Brian Cogan told him: “There is no level of disadvantage in childhood to soften what you have done. “Addicted or not to drugs, something has pushed you to do it.”
