“I think Ukraine can win the war with Russia,” UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told the BBC.
Speaking to journalist Nick Watt, Boris Johnson said the war would not be easy, but Putin had ‘misunderstood’ Ukraine’s resistance.
“I do not think it will be easy. There is a sense in which Putin has already failed, or lost, because I think he had no idea that the Ukrainians would have so much resistance, and he completely misunderstood what Ukraine is. He can not subjugate Ukraine. “He can not win in that sense.”
As for establishing peace between the two warring countries, Johnson said he did not believe Putin really wanted peace.
