Over 615 million euros is the economic damage to the budget for 2021. The worrying figure has been revealed by the Supreme State Audit in the budget report already submitted to the Assembly.
Most of it, (ALL 74.5 billion) almost ALL 55.4 billion has come as a result of negative effects with inefficient use of expenditures and missing revenues in the budget, while the rest of ALL 19.1 billion is calculated as pure economic damage to the budget .
Violations with financial effects for the state treasury were identified during 158 audits conducted in 205 entities at local and central level, mainly in abuses with public investments and those in the field of salaries and social security, where the economic damage for both together reaches to ALL 27.6 billion.
While the level of damage from abuses in customs and non-realization of tax revenues is estimated at about 42.5 billion.
In the field of public procurement, which according to KLSH is one of the most risky for the budget, a number of problems have been identified in the preparation of documentation, contract implementation and even the development of projects without having planned funds available. Budget effects from these irregularities are estimated at 130 million euros.
Violations with damages have been found in the audit of funds for coping with the pandemic Covid 19 states in the voluminous document, some of them according to him are without procurement procedures and with direct negotiation.
KLSH also raises concerns about the administration of public property, as in the audit of Finance KLSH has found shortcomings in monitoring the lease contracts of 1 euro, which according to him have been declared winners entities that do not meet the criteria for the source of financing the declared investment.
