The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, through a post on Twitter this morning wrote that our country’s relations with Greece are becoming closer.
Kurti spoke about the dinner with the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, who arrived yesterday for an official visit, where he also met with President Vjosa Osmani.
“Kosovo’s relations with Greece are getting closer every day. It is a testament to our good bilateral relations, but also a recognition of our shared values of freedom and democracy. It is a pleasure to wait for a dinner last night of the Greek Foreign Minister Niko Dendias“, Wrote Kurti.
Otherwise, in the meeting with the Greek chief diplomat, President Vjosa Osmani stated that Kosovo and Greece share the same Euro-Atlantic values, so he asked for Greek support for membership in the Council of Europe, Partnership for Peace and NATO, as a guarantee not only for the state of Kosovo, but also the region.
She expressed readiness to deepen further cooperation, with the hope that the decision on the recognition of Kosovo’s independence by Greece will be formalized soon.
Dendias was also received by the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi.
Bislimi also informed Minister Dendias about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. He stressed that the right path is that of EU-mediated dialogue, with US support, where Kosovo remains committed to a constructive approach, through proposals and alternatives to move towards a final and legally binding agreement with Serbia. .
