The European Union Special Representative for the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, will visit Kosovo from March 1 to 3, the European Union Office in Pristina confirmed in a press release.
After Kosovo, he will continue his visit to Serbia from March 3rd to 4th, and will also visit Montenegro as part of his regional mandate from March 4th to 5th. Lajcak plans to meet with the political leadership of the three Western Balkan partners, as well as with European Union representatives on the ground.
The European Union, in the first reactions after the elections in Kosovo on February 14, has called on the new authorities that will emerge from these elections to continue their constructive engagement in the dialogue with Serbia.
The winner of the early parliamentary elections, Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV), although she did not prioritize the dialogue with Serbia for the normalization of relations, says that this dialogue should nevertheless have a new approach. This approach requires, among other things, the involvement of the United States. Vetëvendosje has continuously described the dialogue mediated by Brussels as non-transparent and has considered as a failure most of the 33 agreements signed in Brussels.
