Brazil was one of the first national teams to qualify for Qatar 2022. Coach Tite and his boys aim to bring home the World Cup for the sixth time in history, with the big trophy missing in Brazil since 2002.
Tite has been on the bench in Brazil since the summer of 2016. In a statement given to SporTV, the 60-year-old stated that he will leave the leadership of Brazil after this year’s World Cup.
“I do not want to lie, I will no longer be the coach of Brazil after the World Cup in Qatar. “Football consists of cycles and I had a unique opportunity, being in a place where there could be other professionals with great skills”, declared Tite.
The latter has chosen not to renew his contract, which expires on December 31. During these years as coach of the national team Seleção, the coach of Italian origin won the America’s Cup in 2019.
