Prime Minister Edi Rama was today in Rrogozhina, where he supported the candidate of the Socialist Party, Edison Memolla.
When we have a few hours from March 6, when the citizens in six municipalities of the country will elect the new mayor, Rama called for participation in the voting.
He made a comparison with the current situation in Ukraine, where citizens are fighting to defend the country’s independence and stop the Russian occupation.
“The war in Ukraine… Nobody could have imagined. Someone who until yesterday was in his office (president Volodymyr Zelensky), today is on the ground to defend his country to the end.
At this moment, everyone feels how precious what they have is, their freedom, the opportunity to live and breathe freely, to be with family.
Even in Rrogozhina, as in five other municipalities, they will have to decide on the people who will run them for a period of time. For people who say it’s not my job and I do not care, it’s insulting to those in Ukraine who are ready to open their lives because they do not want to miss this freedom“, Said the Prime Minister in front of the citizens of Rrogozhina.
