The Minister of Education and Sports, Evis Kushi together with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Tirana, Murat Ahmet Yörük and the coordinator of the Office of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination TIKA in Tirana Emine Gizem Başkan, inaugurated the new facilities for professional courses at the Institute of Deaf Students. In these professional environments these students will have the opportunity to learn the art of hairdressing and barbering.
During the ceremony, Minister Kushi said that these children are given a good opportunity to get a profession, which will help them in the future to be independent and live like all peers.
She expressed gratitude and appreciation for the continuous cooperation and contribution of the Turkish Government and TIKA Agency for the support in the field of education in our country. Mrs. Kushi added that the support given in the field of education is the most important of all.
Turkish Ambassador Yörük said that Turkey has been and will continue to be close to the Albanian brothers. “We always do this out of great desire that comes from the heart,” said the ambassador. He called the value of a profession for these children a “gold bracelet” in their hand that helps to bring income to the family in the future.
