Dozens of citizens in Kiev are trying to flee as Russian forces advance further toward the capital.
In footage provided by the BBC it appears he was shot in the air in the middle of the crowd with people at the train station causing panic.
Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, authorities in Kiev announced. Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that he has launched, as he put it, a “special” operation to “demilitarize” Ukraine.
The Ukrainian armed forces said Russia had suffered heavy losses. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said 2,800 Russian troops had been “extinguished.”
It is still unclear whether this number of soldiers were killed, wounded or captured. The Ukrainian ministry also estimated that it had destroyed about 80 tanks, over 500 other military vehicles, ten planes and seven helicopters.
