The head of the Parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla from the rostrum of the Assembly has reacted to the protest called by the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, in the square in front of the Prime Minister, which is held against the meeting of the “Open Balkans”.
In his speech, Balla said that this protest is being held only because of Berisha’s plight with America, while emphasizing that today to oppose the initiative for the Open Balkans is a continuation of the creation of an anti-American line in Albania.
Balla also called on SPAK to investigate two corrupt files according to him, which he himself denounced. It is about the privatization of the partisan sports club and the privatization of DSO at CEZ.
“As we conclude this session on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, a protest takes place, which has nothing in common with Albania’s policy in the region and with the country’s commitment within the European integration process. It is a protest that has been called for Berisha’s plight, not at all for issues related to the Open Balkans, which is an initiative welcomed by the US and the EU.
Opposing today against the initiative for the Open Balkans is a continuation of the creation of an anti-American line in Albania. Berisha does not have the problem of the Open Balkans, but he has his problem, a problem that no one can solve and I hope that the justice institutions will do their job for the full investigation of the files that sleep in the drawers of SPAK, that while the groom of Berisha is part of Saliu’s protests to protect himself from justice. I remind you that a few months ago we filed a criminal report on the way the Partizani sports club was privatized.
A property in the center of Tirana that was sold for less than 100 million ALL. It is also a corrupt affair the privatization of the DSO of CEZ, which has been confirmed the figure of 408 million euros damage to state finances. “Both of these files are still unanswered and I have not received any response from the Prosecution for their status.” tha Balla.
