Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold several meetings in Brussels on Monday.
Government sources told Top Channel that the Prime Minister, accompanied by Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka, will initially meet with Josep Borrel, EU Minister for Foreign Affairs.
The agenda also includes a meeting with Ursula Von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. The progress of Albania’s progress towards EU integration, as well as the progress of the use of EU funds for reconstruction after the earthquake are two of the issues under discussion.
This visit of the Prime Minister to Brussels comes after some critical attitudes from Rama to the EU for the unfair way of distributing the anti-covid vaccine by the EU and leaving the Western Balkans in oblivion. A few days ago, the Prime Minister announced a visit to the friendly country of the EU, which in two cases has donated a quantity of vaccines for our country without revealing its name.
But is Belgium a friendly country for vaccine donation? This is expected to be confirmed by the Prime Minister. If it is not Brussels, probably after the visit to the EU, Prime Minister Rama can travel to the friendly country.
