Even this Wednesday morning, Kiev woke up to the noise of Russian bombing.
City emergency services said a 12-storey apartment building in the Shevchenko neighborhood was hit by Russian bombing around 6 p.m. A nearby nine-story building was also damaged, authorities say.
The BBC writes that two people were injured and 35 were evacuated from the building. The fire was extinguished at 07:45 and rescue crews are looking to survive.
Residents across the city remain sheltered in bunkers, underground shelters and their homes amid a two-day curfew.
Officials have warned that it is a “difficult and dangerous” moment for the capital.
