A school in Zhytomyr, in northern Ukraine, was hit by a Russian rocket this Friday morning, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The rocket caused significant damage and partial collapse of the building.
In a statement, Zhytomyr Mayor Sergei Sukhomlin confirmed the attack, saying Russian attackers did not stop at anything.
At least three schools in Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkiv, were hit by Russian military strikes on Tuesday.
Other buildings reportedly destroyed during the Russian occupation include cultural sites such as churches, cathedrals and museums in the cities of Kiev and Kharkiv, respectively, according to a statement from Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
