Sali Berisha’s full attempt and accusation that he and his supporters were the proponents of a resolution condemning the crimes in Srebrenica have proved unsuccessful.
The Socialists and the group of MPs supporting Enkelejd Alibeaj, have joined forces to extinguish Berisha’s desire to be the leader of this resolution.
Ahead of July 11, when the genocide of 6,838 Bosniaks executed by the Serbian army is commemorated, the Albanian Parliament will discuss and approve the resolution, but not the one proposed by Berisha.
“The session will take place on July 7, where with the necessary solemnity and a protocol as befits the Albanian Parliament. A representative of the government and of the chairmen of the parliamentary groups to deliver the occasional speech. “Naturally, the document should be serious, from where the Albanian Parliament should clearly express with this resolution the condemnation and continuation of the consistent positions of the Albanian government regarding impunity in the case of this genocide”, tha Taulant Balla.
Although the Socialists do not intend to approve the draft resolution drafted by Berisha’s supporters, Tritan Shehu said he was pleased that parliament would adopt a resolution.
Representatives of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and relatives of the victims of this genocide, assessed as the most horrible in Europe after the Second World War, will also be invited to the session of the Albanian Parliament for Srebrenica.
