South Korea becomes the next representative to qualify for the “Four 2022” World Cup. This is the 10th consecutive participation in the most important football competition in the globe for South Koreans.
In the eighth round of Group A matches of the Asian zone, the team led by the Portuguese Paulo Bento defeated Syria 2-0, securing the qualification. South Korea is the second Asian team, after Iran, to receive a ticket to “Qatar 2022”.
The Syria-South Korea match, played in Dubai, was decided in the second half with goals from Kim Jin-Su and Keon Chang-Hoon.
In Tehran, Iran beat the UAE 1-0, which is in third place in the group and aspires to participate in the play-off to seek qualification.
