The researchers asked about their project more than 3,000 people tested by PCR for possible Long-Covid symptoms. 951 of them were proven to be infected. Symptoms as rare as in those who have never been infected

Long-COVID-symptoms are difficult to define

According to the study, almost 60% of those infected with COVID-19 show symptoms six months after the disease. The flu also happens. 40% of those cured of the flu complain that they have symptoms close to Long-COVID even after six months. There are large differences between estimates of the incidence of Long-COVID onset based on what typical symptoms are taken into account. Thus the Helmholtz Association sees this frequency at around 10%. Clear diagnoses are likely to be taken here as the basis, only severe cases of Long-COVID.

The vaccine helps against cold viruses
