A new connection that brings us together, like our ancestors from all Albanian territories once did.
Of course, the time is different, the situation is completely different from that of 144 years ago. We are not at war, we are at peace! We have no territorial risks: our goal is not to set borders. On the contrary, the melting of borders and the increase of cooperation between themselves.
There are no conflicts and we are all in a common denominator for the need and necessity of communication and dialogue between us. We want and need to give and take from each other.
We want to be together as Goethe said: “It is necessary to unite, but not just to stay together, but to do something, good deeds, together.”
In his speech on the occasion of June 1878, Abdyl Frashëri said that “The purpose of the Assembly is to wait for the rush of the heartless enemies, by binding the Albanian faith and swearing to protect with blood the lands that us left by our grandparents and great-grandparents “, says the great Abdyl Frashëri.
I said, today there is no war, thankfully we are in peace, but also why there is no war, there is FAITH.
As Albanian-speaking cities, we have already made a trust in the spirit of the Union of Albanian Municipalities and Communes in the Region, which must be maintained and that is why we are here in Prizren today.
