A day before the National Assembly, the Democratic Party convened this evening and decided to set up a Permanent Statutory Commission consisting of 6 members.
According to Top Channel sources, it is learned that they are: Enkelejd Alibeaj, Jorida Tabaku, Ervin Salianji, Jonila Godole, Taulant Zeneli, Kreshnik Çollaku.
Recall that, the National Assembly convened by Basha at the Palace of Congresses will be held tomorrow at 11:00, while the leader of the DP, gave a message this Friday:
“Tomorrow we choose the future.”
Basha also sent a message to his supporters, stressing that the National Assembly of the Democratic Party meets with the historic responsibility to be united against the regime of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The National Assembly of the Democratic Party comes just one week after that of Berisha, where it was voted for the dismissal of Basha and the statute of the Democratic Party was changed.
We remind you that tomorrow in all branches of the Democratic Party in the districts will be held a referendum on the dismissal of Basha, a decision issued by the Assembly of Berisha. However, Basha has stated that he does not recognize any decision issued by this Assembly.
Both sides do not recognize each other’s statutes, while the following days are expected to be quite decisive for the fate of the largest opposition party in the country.
The DP is now the only party in the country with two statutes, one submitted by Basha to the Tirana Court a few days ago and the other submitted by the DP Re-establishment Group.
The political battle between Berisha and Basha took place when the latter expelled the former DP leader from the PD Parliamentary Group, after he was declared ‘non grata’ by the US State Department.
