Hollywood star Kevin Spacey came out laughing from the court in England, where he received parole in the first procedural hearing after charges were brought against him for five offenses, including sexual aggression, but his confrontation with justice continues.
Spacey confirmed his name, date of birth and address in London and July 14, was set as the date for his next appearance.
The House of Cards actor faced four charges last month of sexually assaulting three men, allegations his defense attorney said his client vehemently denied.
One of the victims of the alleged incidents is today in her 40s, while the others are currently around 30 years old.
Although the British prosecution body authorized the indictment against him in late May, the charges could not be formally filed until he himself was in the UK.
Spacey has won two Oscars for his roles in “The Usual Suspects” and “American Beauty”, and was also the artistic director of the Old Vic Theater in London from 2003 to 2015.
He starred in the Netflix political series “House of Cards” and it is learned that despite the scandal, he returned to acting last year.
