The police operation codenamed “Red Jacket” is successfully finalized, to crack down on criminal activity in the field of theft of property and assets.

Two citizens are handcuffed, one of them with the security measure “Home arrest”.
Various clothing allegedly used by the perpetrators to commit thefts, and various stolen bicycle accessories were seized.

1, following the work to prevent thefts, uncover those that occurred before and bring the perpetrators to justice, after a thorough investigation, successfully organized and finalized the operation “Red Jacket”, within which handcuffed the citizens:
– E. Gj., 41 years old, previously convicted for the criminal offense “Theft”;
– DD, 19 years old, who was under house arrest “For home”, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing”.
These citizens, in cooperation with each other, at different times and places committed thefts of bicycles and motor vehicles. After approaching the parking lots of bicycles or motor vehicles, they monitored the movements of citizens who parked them in these points, then stole them and with a rented vehicle, transported them to Fushë-Krujë and Milot, to sell.
From the entirety of investigative actions it has resulted that these citizens are perpetrators of 13 cases of various thefts, namely:
* On 22.02.2021, in “Skënderbej” square, it is suspected that they stole the motor vehicle owned by the citizen ES;
* On 14.04.2021, in “Ibrahim Rrugova” street, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen FP;
* On 13.10.2021, in “Kastriotët” street, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen KS;
* On 15.10.2021, in “Rruga e Barrikadave” it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen RK;
* On 29.10.2021, in the place called “Kthesa e Kamzës”, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen LD;
* On 21.11.2021, in “Arkitekt Sinani” street, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen AL;
* On 15.12.2021, in “Skënderbej” square, it is suspected that they stole the motor vehicle owned by the citizen ES;
* On 16.01.2022, in the street “Kareman Ylli”, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen KR;
* On 19.01.2022, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle from the owner of the citizen RR;
* On 19.01.2022, in “Skënderbej” square, it is suspected that they stole the motor vehicle owned by the citizen DS;
* On 20.01.2022, it is suspected that they stole the bicycle owned by the citizen K. Ç .;
* On 22.01.2022, in the street “Marije Kraja”, it is suspected that they stole the motor vehicle owned by the citizen Gj. H .;
* On 25.01.2022, in the street “Gjergj Filipi”, it is suspected that they stole the motor vehicle owned by the citizen Sh. Xh.
In the quality of material evidence were seized various clothing that the perpetrators allegedly used to commit thefts, and various accessories of stolen bicycles.
Work continues to document other thefts that may have been committed by these citizens.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for further procedural actions.
