In our overcrowded Tirana there is a student community of 82 people. 15 lines run in the capital. Kevini together with 4 other students have developed a project, for the most accurate and fast orientation of students and not only, with urban transport.
“At each bus station will be placed an adhesive with the QR code, where students, but also citizens, scan it and then go to the relevant online site, to see maps and lines. It is a problem that has long sought a solution, as a delay, or taking the wrong line, penalizes you, goes late to seminar or lecture, loses a job interview, loses a plane, etc.says Kevi Topi.
From my experience I bring the latest case in Kosovo, where at every station in Peja there was a city map with the respective schedules and next to it a QR scanning code. Of course, this helped me a lot, as I managed to get the right bus to Prishtina. I did not have to ask people, who happen to point in the wrong direction.
“My friends who have come from the districts to study in Tirana, have a problem, as I hear in conversations with them. This is because Tirana has many lines and they do not know how to orient themselves, who to take. Perhaps it would be better to do as countries abroad, as in Germany e.g. that have applications that show which line takes you where and at what time it arrives at the station. So the project of 5 students seems very helpful to me “.
“Many students coming from the districts do not know, for example, where the Porcelain or New Tirana station is. We will help by scanning the QR Code, to get the whole map with the stations and its final destination, such as. if he goes to the Former Artist or Vorri Bomi, he sees how many stations he needs from the center, up there“, Explains student Juliana Sopaj.
