Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba likened the fighting in the Donbas region to World War II.
Speaking at a news conference at NATO headquarters in Brussels, he said the situation was getting worse.
“It will remind you of World War II, with major operations, including thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft, artillery.”
Donbas is the oldest area of Ukraine known for its coal and iron production.
